Prayers is an improvised dance piece that creates a dialogue between a dancer, a musician and light. The shape of the design was inspired by prayer rugs. I aimed to give the lights a strong form that could also be used to make different spatial propositions to the dancer. The lights could create different pathways through the space, giving the dancer freedom within the form.
